Kraus KHU100-32 32-Inch Undermount Single Bowl 16 gauge Kitchen Sink, Stainless Steel

This sink is VERY big. Just installed it in our remodel. It may be China made, but there have been no issues with it. It is rectangular (unlike some other China sinks that my granite guy told me horror stories about).

My qualms:

1. It claims to be 16 gauge. My guess is that it's 18. It is not as solid as the 16 gauge sinks I ogled over in the store.
2. Sound proof backing is not very thick. That said, I've been using the sink for about a week now washing everything I own (moving back into life after remodel), and it has not produced any clinking noise. I was concerned about this before it was installed, but have been pleasantly surprised.
3. Scratch resistant, not scratch proof. Definitely use the bottom grate.
4. Does not completely drain without using the sprayer to get all areas - not a big deal, but does not 100% self drain through the lines at the base.

This sink is absolutely beautiful and it's shipped in a bag within the box and when you first open it up and see it freaking glistening it makes your heart smile. The quality of the sink is great, everything looks great. It comes with a nice grate to protect it from getting scratched by pots. MY ONLY GRIPE is how it drains water. The angle of grooves to the drain isn't steep enough. When you have the grate in there, which is most of the time, it's a pain in the butt when food gets under there and the sink is so wide and it's so flat on the bottom that you have to actually spend time maneuvering your hose to spray-guide food particles to the drain. It's kind of annoying.

The sink LOOKS awesome, but I guess it's functionality and design could be improved.

Here's proof you can literally buy everything on Amazon, including the kitchen sink! I was a little hesitant to purchase a sink without physically seeing it, but I am so glad we did.

We bought this sink to replace a double basin version that was installed in our house when we moved in. Despite taking up a lot of counter space, neither of the two basins were large enough to wash anything without getting water all over the counter. This was the only sink that was big enough to fit in the hole left by our existing sink.

This sink is roomy and deep, and I was able to put two dish pans in it with room to spare. The granite guy who came to install it was very impressed with the quality of the sink, being 16 gauge instead of the usual 18 gauge thickness, and could not believe how little we paid for it :)
