This review is from: Polaris Sinks 8113T Topmount Single Bowl Stainless Steel Sink (Misc.)
I'm a little more sensitive to nasty chemical smells lately due to a pregnancy in the household. This sink works great and looks nice and appears to be the correct gauge as advertised. Unfortunately, the sound-proofing coating that is sprayed on the bottom is stinky. If I would have bought it at my local big-box store, I would have taken it back for that reason (I believe that routinely exposing a fetus or a child to certain chemicals could conceivably alter their neurological development ). I actually painted the bottom of the sink prior to install using a zero-emission interior paint. Worked great for a week, but then the native stench of the undercoating revealed itself again. I wouldn't recommend this sink unless your neurons have already been so damaged that any additional brain death would go unnoticed.
