I purchased this stainless steel one and it is great. I can scrub it with steel wool to get any stains or rust off. This review is from: Large Sink Protector in Stainless Steel (Kitchen) I had one of those plastic "pebble" mats in my sink since I installed the sink to protect the stainless steel finish from scratches. The problem with the pebble mats is that food and grime gets easily stuck in them which tends to stink up the kitchen sink if left unattended for a few days. This lead to diligent cleaning of the stupid mats. Why waste your time doing that? That's what I asked myself. This is a good alternative and it fits large sinks well. With only 4 small points of contact with the sink surface, water is free to flow around the sink and wash food and grime towards the drain. This keeps our sink cleaner and I don't have to spend copious amounts of time washing down the mat every few days. I've only had it for a few days now, but it seems to be holding up well. I've had a large ceramic pot from a crock pot cooker soaking on top of it for a three days now and it seems to be holding up to the weight. We'll see how long this...Read more |
