Blanco : 440149 - 513-412 Precis Super Single Bowl, Anthracite

I ordered this sink online. When it arrived, it was packaged perfectly. Double boxed -- a layer of thick pillowed padding, and a layer of thick styrofoam. Despite all that, our installer discovered hairline cracks on the rim when he arrived to do the install.

So I ordered a replacement online. The replacement had significant cracks -- so bad you could stick an index card right through them to the outside of the sink.

These sinks are touted as being durable. But that's simply not true. They clearly cannot withstand shipping -- even when properly boxed. So how will they handle my kids and my pots and pans?

I luckily got a full refund for my troubles. My third try will be a stainless model. I can't afford to keep gambling on the silgranit.
