I initially did not think I needed this grid in my new sink. Within a week, I had two scratches that appeared out of nowhere -- I am the careful type. So, I gave in and ordered this and I have been thankful ever since! I can put a dirty pot on it, or a knife, and not worry about a scratch. I put it in the dishwasher once every week or so to be sure it's clean.

Glad I ordered this with the sink. Keeps things from scratching and allows me to drain clean dishes on one side of the sink.
